Dear readers,
We hope that everyone is keeping well during the current lockdown. CNB MOTs continue to remain open throughout the COVID-19 Lockdown as an essential service.
A recent publication by The Guardian highlights that you must maintain your vehicle's MOT during the current lockdown. The article references recently updated guidelines by the UK Government.
In summary, you must have a valid MOT regardless of whether you're currently using your vehicle. This applies to both essential and non-essential workers.
'There are some circumstances where you must not take your vehicle for its MOT:
you or someone you live with has coronavirus (COVID-19) symptoms
you’ve been told by the NHS Test and Trace service that you’ve been in contact with someone who has coronavirus
you’re self-isolating because you recently entered the UK
You must stay at home (self-isolate) if any of these situations apply.'
CNB MOTs are here for those who will need to have their MOT test during the current lockdown.
