We noticed an AA survey that has confirmed what we're already starting to experience - a big surge in MOT tests taking place.
A recent AA survey found that 20 per cent of 14,688 motorists surveyed took part in the MOT exemption scheme. The results suggest as many as 5.5 million vehicles have delayed MOTs with many drivers booking the test in September last year, meaning their time is up soon. On top of the increased demand due to the backlog, there will also be 339,000 new cars bought in September 2018 which will be due to take an MOT test for the first time.
We have already seen a big jump in the number of MOTs that we are working through across September. So do not wait until the last minute and please book in advance.
